Part two deals with upgrading your scope. Your budget and your preference for visual use or photographic use are the major factors in this process. This program is free.
At this program veteran NJAA members will help you to set up your telescope and mount, align the optics if necessary, look at some night sky objects, and track an object if your mount is designed to do so. This program is free.
NJAA members will show some ways to learn how to locate the best constellations at any time of the year. What is the best time of the month to look for deep sky objects? When can you get the best views of the moon? How do you use a star finder or star charts? This program has a $4.00 fee which pays for a simple star finder.
The NJAA operates on leased premises administered by The State of New Jersey, Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Parks and Forestry
