We have heard that that Voorhees State Park will be affected by the recent state park closures after all.

Though not completely shut down, without enough bodies to properly patrol the area - or a secretary to take reservations - the plan is for the Voorhees campground to CLOSE. The office will stay CLOSED. No doubt that will affect the scouting and other groups that come to observatory and then camp overnight.

If you can - contact the local Assemblyman and Senators.... let them know you want the Voorhees campground to remain open. Hire staff!!!

Also, if you go onto the main parks and forestry website you can comment on the potential park closures.
