On Friday, February 1, New York's Governor Pataki vetoed the light pollution bill before the chapter amendments had a chance to be approved. His reasons
centered on the cost, liability for light trespass, and "extra work" that local authorities would have taken on to enforce this bill.
Nearly all of his concerns would have been addressed by the chapter amendments. You should call, write, or email the Governor to tell him that you disapprove of his veto.
